Favorite Women’s Tees
2025We love a basic tee because when all else fails, your favorite one can easily be paired with just about anything in your wardrobe and dressed up or down! I have a few favorites of my own, but kept getting this request in my weekly question box, so I knew it would be a good topic to poll the community on.
While there are a lot of budget friendly options out there, personally I have found those do wear with time and many washes, so I don’t mind spending a bit more on an elevated fabric, so it lasts longer. I will share my favorites within the results below. We have included the top 4 submissions, which span all different prices.
The number one brand and submission is Old Navy, specifically the Vintage Crewneck Tee and the EveryWear Crew Neck Tee. Both of these tees are under $18 and are almost always on sale, offering a real bang for your buck. If you are looking for a more classic fit, go with the EveryWear tee. If you want a more relaxed and trendy fit, the Vintage tee is for you. People love that they both are not cropped, which makes them perfect for tucking in or wearing untucked for a more casual vibe.
The runner up is the Perfect Cotton Crewneck Tee from Madewell. In my opinion, Madewell does basics so well and they are usually priced middle of the road, this one being $42, but it’s quality stands the test of time. This 100% cotton jersey tee hits at the hip and is not cropped, making it very versatile. I personally own it and find it very similar to my favorite cotton Leset Margo Tee. The only significant difference is the Leset Margo runs about 2 inches shorter than Madewell’s. FYI, I also always size down in Madewell basics, so I have a small in their tee and a medium in the Leset tee.
The next favorite is the Box Cut Tee from Everlane! This is a brand I have not shopped myself, but so many of you mentioned it that I may need to try it now! This basic tee is what they are known for - the crewneck being the most popular -a perfectly relaxed fit, slightly cropped length and short sleeves. It retails at $38 and is a crowd favorite.
And finally, an honorable mention is the Abercrombie & Fitch Essential Body Skimming Tee! It’s made from their ‘softAF’ fabric, hits right at the waist, has a crew neckline and a straight hem. For under $20 this is an easy add to cart!
