Luggage

The results are in for the best luggage, which encompasses anything from a trusty suitcase to essentials like a toiletry bag or packing cubes. This has been such a popular request in my question box week over week and I am happy to leverage the experience of our community to crowdsource the best products out there! Luggage is not something you use daily, but when you need it you want it to be reliable and last you years.

Weekender Bag: the Beis Weekender Bag was the top suggestion, which was a new brand for me (maybe I was living under a rock). The best features are that it is water resistant, has a laptop sleeve, a separate bottom section for things like shoes and a detachable shoulder strap. It also has a sleeve on the outside so it can sit on top of a rolling suitcase if needed. Honorable mention is the MZ Wallace Large Tote, this got the 2nd most votes and is my personal favorite, the reason I love this one is because it is so versatile and can double as an everyday bag too, so you get a ton of use out of it.

Travel Backpack: there were two submissions that tied for favorite travel backpack and each of them serve a different purpose/aesthetic. For the adventurer, the Patagonia Black Hole Backpack is a water resistant, very durable option that comes with a laptop sleeve and several pockets, it can double as a pack for hiking with space for a hydration hose too. The other winner was a Dagne Dover Dakota Backpack, this neoprene bag is also water resistant, has a laptop sleeve and comes in 3 sizes based on your needs. For those with young kids, the Danger Dover Diaper Backpack can also serve as a bag that eventually doesn't have to be used just for your kids' essentials.

Carry On Suitcase: Away blew all other brands out of the water for a carry on bag. They are top quality suitcases at a mid tier price point, built to last forever with a hard shell outside, 360 degrees spinner wheels and can fit in overhead bins.

Large Rolling Suitcase: a large rolling suitcase is the most used luggage I own, especially with kids in tow you need a reliable bag that will last forever. Away won this category too, the most votes for category of the whole poll. It is lightweight, has 360 degrees spinning wheels and a hard shell, people that owned this bag raved about it.

Rolling Duffle Bag: the LL Bean Rolling Duffle bag won this category as the clear favorite, known for how durable the fabric is, the fact that the bag stands upright and doesn't tip over and it is at a really good price of $159.

Kids Luggage: I have shared this Target Crckt Hardside Suitcase for kids several times, so I was happy to know you all love it too. It comes in many cute prints, is lightweight and easy for kids to pull with spinner wheels.

Toiletry Bag: trusty LL Bean won again for the best toiletry bag, the large was the most popular size and can fit all your essentials for a week long trip.

Packing Cubes: and finally there were two kinds of pacing cubes that tied for favorites, the Calpak 5 Pc set for a traditional option that includes 5 good size pouches/bags. And Lean Travel Compression Cubes which have an extra zipper feature which helps compress the cubes and save more space in your luggage.
